Paco’s vision is a world where women are the leaders of their own lives & of the social, political, & economic systems that impact them. The system that poses the biggest threat to this vision is maternal care, where the majority of decisions are made by everyone except mothers.
With looming cuts to Medicaid- the primary source of coverage & largest single payer for pregnant women’s healthcare nationwide, 5.7 million women are at risk of losing critical services that ensure not only their health and wellbeing, but their very survival.
